Things to know

We teach courses in English and French but all e-learning (online theory) are available in several other languages.

We supplement e-learning with lectures so you fully understand the information and can be a safer, better diver.

We have a range of dive sites, from shallow, protected areas to learn new skills to a wide range of reefs so you can experience diving in different conditions and locations.

Scuba Diver course

This is the first course that you take to make you a qualified diver.

Over the course of at least six dives, we will introduce you to the world of scuba diving and teach you the skills to be an independent diver.

We really care about our students and our marine conservation focus means we care about the reefs too: we will teach you to do the same, learning skills so you can hover next to marine life without disturbing it.

We have new equipment and patient, passionate instructors who love teaching and guiding you on your diving journey.

Recommended time for your course: minimum 4 full days, recommended 5 full days.
To make your stay more relaxing (you are on holiday after all) we are happy for you to mix your course in with other activities, as long as you have enough time to complete it.

Number of dives: minimum of 4. We offer additional dives if you and your instructor agree that that would make you a more confident diver.

Advanced course

Our advanced courses let you progress to the next level in your diving and teach you skills for specific situations.

Sakatia Lodge is the ideal place to take your course as not only our instructors love teaching and care about their students, we also have a wide range of dive sites, so you can learn in real conditions.

This means we offer very flexible options, including current and drift dives, deep dives, wreck dives, night dives, and peak performance buoyancy skills, so you are more comfortable into the water, better on air consumption, and you can protect the marine life.

Diving conditions in Madagascar are very tidal, so it is also a great location to learn more about dive planning.

Recommended time for your course: minimum of 3 days, 4-5 days for a more relaxed schedule.

Number of dives: minimum 2, chosen from the wide range of options available.
